The aim of HPA’s employment service is to create and develop employment opportunities for people with disabilities in integrated settings and provide the training and ongoing support necessary to enable their success in open employment.

Current Employment Options
Kokoda Industries is a medium sized workshop manufacturing a range of timber, steel and aluminium products including Parkland furniture, grandstand seating, pallets, lattice, survey pegs, sprinkler stands, army targets and other products as commissioned.
ausdesigns™ is an industrial sewing business specialising in the manufacture of indigenous print conference bags, promotional bags and a wide range of gift and souvenir products. ausdesigns™ provides high quality screen printing, digital printing and embroidery, and supplies promotional products, hats, school wear, sportswear, Hi Visibility wear, work wear and corporate wear. Assembly and collating work and confidential document shredding is also undertaken at this factory.

Employment Service Criteria
To be eligible for employment with HPA the following requirements must be met;
Disability – Multi-diagnostic

Being of age 16 or over
Being eligible for a Centrelink Reference Number

Be able to work for at least 8 hours per week within a reasonable timeframe maximum
Demonstrate a desire to work in supported employment.

An assessment will be made to ensure that the service has the resources to meet the individual’s required level of training support.

A meeting will be arranged on receipt of your Application Form to discuss your eligibility and the availability of current employment options.

Commencement of employment will be subject to acceptance by Dept Social Services, funding availability and the completion of a three month trial period.
